What PFBC biologists found
Apr 2023 survey · 3 years ago
Musky
Gear: trap nets
The survey captured 64 Muskellunge at a catch rate of 0.35 fish/hr. (p. 2)
Muskellunge ranged from 28 to 43 inches, with 3% exceeding 40 inches. (p. 2)
The mean relative weight of Muskellunge was 81. (p. 3)
Bluegills measuring 5 to 6 inches comprised 81% of the catch, while 5% were at least 7 inches. (p. 4)
PFBC's plan, in our words: PFBC will monitor Muskellunge abundance, condition, and size structure, and evaluate effects on other fish populations to guide future management. (p. 3)
Findings are our short summaries of one survey at one time. Every number was checked against the cited page of PFBC's report. We don't rate lakes.
