Advertiser terms

Effective Oct 5, 2026.

  1. Eligibility. You are 18 or older and list a real bait & tackle shop or an inland fishing-guide business in Pennsylvania.
  2. Truthful, current information. Your business name, town, phone, website and description are accurate and kept current.
  3. Permits. You hold every permit your services require. Fishing guides must hold a PFBC Charter Boat/Fishing Guide permit; the permit number you enter is shown as “self-reported”. The 2026 Fishing Summary says: “Charter boat operators and fishing guides are required to obtain a permit when conducting business on the waters of the Commonwealth including the boundary waters.” (p. 5).
  4. No impersonation. Don't suggest you are, or are approved by, PFBC, DEP or any agency.
  5. Advertising, not endorsement. Placement is a paid sponsored listing. It is not an endorsement by this site, PFBC or DEP.
  6. Caps and rotation. At most 3 listings per lake page; the display order rotates daily. In rare cases (a payment that arrives after your spot hold expired) a 4th listing can show.
  7. Automatic checks. Listings are checked automatically before payment and on every edit.
  8. Reader reports. Three reports from different readers within 7 days hide a listing and pause its remaining paid time. A passing edit restores it with the time intact. Three hides within 365 days block that email and phone from listing for 365 days.
  9. Link checks. If your website fails our link check 3 times in a row, only the website link is hidden until it passes again.
  10. Term and renewal. 12 months from activation; renewal adds 12 months from the later of today or your current end date. Reminders go out 30 and 7 days before the end.
  11. Refunds. We don't issue refunds. PayPal's own dispute and refund processes apply; a refunded or reversed payment removes the listing.
  12. Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
