Channel Catfish
Gear: trap nets, gill nets
The survey captured 82 Channel Catfish, with 59% longer than 20 inches. (p. 3)
The largest Channel Catfish measured 30 inches and weighed 13 pounds. (p. 3)
Channel Catfish were caught at 0.10 fish/hr. (p. 3)
The catch included 8 Muskellunge measuring 25 to 39 inches. (p. 2)
Of 616 White Crappie sampled, 10% exceeded 9 inches. (p. 6)
PFBC's plan, in our words: PFBC will continue Channel Catfish stocking and survey young-of-year fish before stocking events to assess natural reproduction and determine whether stocking remains necessary. (p. 3)
Findings are our short summaries of one survey at one time. Every number was checked against the cited page of PFBC's report. We don't rate lakes.
