PFBC biologist report
Gear: trap nets, hoop nets, night electrofishing
Electrofishing captured 23 Largemouth Bass measuring 8 to 18 inches in 2018. (p. 1)
The 2018 catch included 94 Channel Catfish measuring 6 to 26 inches. (p. 2)
The 2019 catch included 79 Channel Catfish measuring 9 to 27 inches. (p. 2)
Of 55 marked Channel Catfish captured across both surveys, 51 had been stocked as yearlings. (p. 2)
PFBC's plan, in our words: Future Channel Catfish stockings will likely use only yearlings because survival exceeded that of fingerlings; panfish age and growth will be assessed to determine whether management changes are needed. (p. 2)
Findings are our short summaries of one survey at one time. Every number was checked against the cited page of PFBC's report. We don't rate lakes.
